Graphical and Component Method are used to get the Resultant Vector. Here are some steps to get the Resultant Vector by using the Graphical and Component Method.

Steps Using Graphical Method:

1. Please make use of a cartesian plane to serve as the origin.
2. Get the vectors. Make a scale first so that you will not confuse regarding measurement, example 30 meter=1cm
3. Plot now the first vector. Connect the first vector from its tail up to the head of the first vector then do the same thing to the succeeding vectors.
4. There are given formulas so it is now easy for you to calculate for the resultant vector.
5. Pythagorean Theorem = Magnitude . Tan Function = Direction.

Steps in using the Component Method:

1. Plot a Table.
2. Then get the values of each component by using cosine for x and sine for y.
3. After getting the values, get the sum of each component.
4. Square each sum the add the squared value.
5. After getting the sum get the square root.
